Unicorn World is coming to OKC Convention Center

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Unicorn World, the traveling event, is galloping into the Oklahoma City Convention Center for the first time, promising to bring magic to kids and adults alike.

It is described as interactive, immersive and magical.

First the families enter through the rainbow arch.

“This is the first thing kids see, and they’re already jumping up and down,” said Caitlin Owens, Unicorn World’s show director.

Then they enter the enchanted forest.

“The first unicorns that our families come to are our life-size white unicorns,” Owens said. “Kids can pet them.”

As they walk through it, the children bring the forest to life with magic.

“This is part of our fairy village,” Owens said. “You can’t see it yet, but there’s going to be a life-size fairy house.”

To get their creativity flowing, the event offers arts and crafts. To make it extra colorful, a team of face painters will be on hand.

Then it’s time for Rainbow Acres.

“This is where families will meet the rainbow unicorn team, the kids have helped them get their magic back at this point,” Owens said. “Blaze the master creator, he’s popular.”

There will be live fairies and mermaids.

“We also have a new bubble magician,” Owens said. “She’ll be doing a special bubble show.”

For the children there are ball pits, bouncy castles, games and of course unicorn rides.

Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are available in advance only. They cost $30 each. Children under two are free.

According to Owens, the golden age is between three and seven years old.

“The boys love it too. Even the older brothers who swear they were forced to come here, you see them running around with smiles on their faces,” Owens said.
