Minot, 17-year-old author, sells her books at the Downtown Fargo Street Fair – InForum

FARGO — At 17, Lindsey Undlin has already been published twice.

Her first book, “Stolen,” came out when she was just 14. That book, along with its sequel, “Spiral,” are the first two in Undlin’s ongoing “Priders” series. The story follows a North Dakota high school basketball player who solves mysteries with new friends.

When Undlin wrote her first book, she initially did not expect her book to be published.

“I started writing, and then I stopped writing, and then I had a 300-page novel. So I decided, ‘Hey, why don’t I just release this book, publish it?’ And then I thought, ‘I can add more to the story,’” Undlin said.

Spiral” is North Dakota’s youth selection for the Library of Congress Great Reads from Great Places Program. This means she will represent the state at the National Book Festival in Washington, DC, next month.

Thanks to book sales, she enjoys making friends of her own at events across the state.

“I like meeting the audience. I like meeting my fans, people who come to support me, tell my story, get my story out there,” Undlin said.

She will be selling her book all weekend at the Downtown Fargo Street Fair. You can also buy her books on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble in Minot.

Undlin is currently working on the third book in the series and plans to write a fourth as well.
