American Olympic athlete Kennedy sheets is making waves in the wrestling world. Blades was born on September 4, 2003 in Chicago, Illinois and has been a member of Team USA for four years, from 2020 to 2025. She is currently ranked number one in the 76 kg/167.5 lbs category for Team USA 2024-25.

Blades’ wrestling journey began at a young age. She attended Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, Pennsylvania, where she became the 2019 Prep School National Champion. She also won the Super 32 Championship in 2018 and 2019. After high school, she transferred to Arizona State University, where she currently has a 3.72 GPA.

Her international career is equally impressive. She has competed at several world championships, winning a gold medal at the 2021 U20 World Championships in the 72 kg category, a silver medal at the 2023 U23 World Championships in the 76 kg category, and a bronze medal at the 2023 U20 World Championships in the 76 kg category. She also finished seventh at the 2019 U17 World Championships in the 73 kg category.

In addition to her world championship honors, Blades has also won several national and international tournaments. She was the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials champion and the 2023 U.S. Open champion. She also won gold at the 2018 U17 Pan American Championships and the 2023 Ibrahim Moustafa Tournament in Egypt.

Despite her young age, Blades has shown a level of dedication and skill that sets her apart. She is currently preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she aims to win gold. With her track record, she is certainly a contender to watch.
