Verisk Analytics estimates U.S. industry insured losses for Hurricane Beryl

Verisk estimates that industry-insured losses to onshore wind properties in the U.S. from Hurricane Beryl will range between $2 billion and $3 billion. Widespread and prolonged power outages in Texas will likely be a legacy of Beryl’s arrival in the state. At its peak, nearly 3 million homes in Texas lost power due to Beryl, including more than 2.2 million in Harris County alone.
