PennDOT Announces Date Extension for Short-Term Lane Closures on I-80 North Fork Bridges in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. – Motorists are advised that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Bridging Pennsylvania Developers I (BPD-I) are announcing an extension of the date for short-term lane closures for the I-80 North Fork Bridges Project in Jefferson County.

The short lane closure was originally scheduled to end on July 26, but will remain in effect on the eastbound and westbound left lanes until August 16, 2024, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., and due to widening of the median along I-80.

This project is part of the ongoing PennDOT Major Bridges P3 program and is jointly led by Shikun & Binui Ltd and Macquarie Capital as lead project developers and shareholders.

The Bridging Pennsylvania Constructors (BPC) joint venture (JV) consortium includes the design and construction expertise of S&B USA Construction (Pittsburgh, PA) and FCC Construction. S&B USA Construction is the construction arm of Shikun & Binui Ltd. and is also the parent company of Fay, S&B USA Construction (Pittsburgh, PA), one of four BPC Major Bridge subcontractors.

Other major bridge subcontractors include H&K Group (Skippack, PA), Kokosing Construction Company (Westerville, OH), Wagman Heavy Civil (York, PA), and lead designer Michael Baker International (Pittsburgh, PA).
