Man arrested after posing as teen to sexually assault 11- and 12-year-old girls in South Carolina

In December 2023, it was reported that a criminal sexual conduct involving a minor occurred on Grissett Lane in the Conway area. Following this incident, authorities from the Horry County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the location.

19-year-old Anthony Rommel Brown has been identified as a suspect in this case.

According to the report, the person who filed the complaint indicated that he learned of the allegations that Brown had sexual contact with the victim through social media.

The report revealed that Brown had given the victim false information about his age, claiming he was 16 years old when in fact he was 19 years old.

The report states that the information about Brown came from the SCDMV.

Brown is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a juvenile between the ages of 11 and 14.

The investigation is currently still ongoing.
