PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Officials are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who were seen climbing an Oregon Department of Forestry camera tower just south of Sisters Sunday night.

Just after 8 p.m., cameras captured the two men climbing the 60-foot tower on Three Creeks Butte. According to ODFW, they had to climb over six feet of barbed wire to even reach the tower.

An ODFW official told KOIN 6 News he rushed to the tower to intercept the men and check for damage, but they were gone by the time he arrived.

“Fortunately there was no material damage and they were probably only interested in the view and the climb,” he added.

Additionally, ODFW stated that they will be increasing security measures in the area and that they have filed a trespassing charge with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.
