Christian Gass commits to Tennessee Football

Four-star linebacker Christian Gass (Covington, Ga.) from 2025 has joined the Tennessee Volunteers.

The Tennessee Volunteers continued on the recruiting trail Saturday afternoon. Eastside High School linebacker Christian Gass pledged his services to the Vols at the expense of Georgia and USC, a key win for a defensive staff that prioritizes the front seven in this class.

Gass is ranked 225th in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. Chad Simmons sat down with Gass to discuss his favorite schools. Gass was very enthusiastic about the Volunteers.

“My big thing was that they also have real, genuine love. Coach (Mike Ekeler), he’s definitely a high-energy guy,” Gass told Simmons. “He’s got a lot of energy and he told me every day that I was a priority and that I was important to him, not just as a player but as a person. He just sits there and watches everything I do and that’s important to me. Going out there and watching film and knowing that I can go through their scheme and really understand it, that’s important to me.”
