TBT Pittsburgh Live Doc: No. 4 Dubois Dream vs. No. 5 Happy Valley Hoopers

The basketball tournament has started in Pittsburgh. On the first day, four games will be played.

In preparation for the premiere of the 2024 edition of Best Virginia, TBT kicks off in Pittsburgh with a match between the Dubois Dream and Penn State alumni team, the Happy Valley Hoopers.

With 3:30 left in the first quarter, Dubois leads Happy Valley 16-15. After the timeout, both teams score before David Shriver makes two shots inside for Dubois to tie the score at 20-20.

In the final minute of the game, Trent Buttrick misses his first of two free throws but makes the second. Both teams take turns trying to score before Dubois gains possession and stops the clock. The Hoopers steal the ball but get it right back for the final shot of the quarter, a three-pointer to the left corner that hits the front of the rim and bounces out.

Happy Valley leads 21-20 at the start of the second quarter.

Samuel Sessoms scores the first points of the second period, dribbling and making a three-pointer to extend Happy Valley’s lead to 24-20.
