Report: Badgers Early Non-Conference Game at Kohl Center Revealed

The Wisconsin Badgers have begun planning a series of non-conference games for the upcoming season, with a recent report indicating that one more game is in the pipeline.

According to college basketball analyst Rocco Miller, the Badgers will host Montana State in a non-conference matchup at the Kohl Center on Nov. 7.

Now that the date is set, this should be one of the first games of the season for Wisconsin.

The Badgers already have non-conference games scheduled with Arizona (Nov. 15 at the Kohl Center) and Marquette (Dec. 7 at the Fiserv Forum), and have also signed on to participate in the Greenbrier Tip-Off in late November.

Now they add the Big Sky team to the roster as Montana State comes to visit.

Last year the Bobcats went 17-18, including a 9-9 league finish, which was good for fifth in the Big Sky.

They were led by guard Robert Ford III, who averaged 16.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game while making 48.7 percent of his field goals and 44 percent of his three-pointers.

It will be a pivotal year for the Badgers, who are coming off a disappointing first-round exit from the NCAA Tournament and are dealing with significant roster turnover as seven players leave and six join the program.
