I-49 Lane Closures in Nevada for Road Resurfacing | KSNF/KODE

NEVADA, Mo. — Here’s a warning for Nevada drivers. Starting today, MoDOT crews are working on improvements to the roadway on I-49 in Nevada.

From July 20 to July 26 from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

The north-south lanes of I-49 between Highland Avenue and the Nevada railroad bridges will be closed.

Teams will apply a high-friction treatment in several places to improve grip when cornering.

Several selected routes in McDonald, Stone, Taney and Vernon counties are also part of the project.

Motorists are urged to be alert to signs and messages as MoDOT crews will be rerouting traffic using signaling vehicles.

It is also advisable to look for alternative routes in the meantime.
