Oklahoma Indian Clinic Celebrates 50th Anniversary

On Saturday, the Oklahoma Indian Clinic celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Since its opening 50 years ago, the clinic has grown tremendously.

“It’s so overwhelming to see the growth and be a part of it, I don’t even know how to put it into words,” said Robyn Sunday Allen, CEO of OKC Indian Clinic.

Since 1995, the clinic has seen more than 15,000 patients.

“We had about 5,000 patients in 1995, and we were an old dilapidated building downtown. Today we have 400 employees, we are in 150,000 square feet of space with 22,000 patients,” Sunday-Allen said.

In 1974 the clinic opened with several dozen patients and staff.

Longtime employee Robin Parker says the company has exceeded its founder’s wildest dreams.

As they celebrate their 50th anniversary, the CEO continues to look ahead.

“It’s definitely a celebration of where we were in our humble beginnings and where we want to be next,” Sunday-Allen said.
