Handlers Show Dogs at Bernalillo County 4-H Fair

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — The Bernalillo County 4-H Club hosted a dog show Saturday at Expo New Mexico. Competitors showed off their dogs’ ability to follow commands. The show is the culmination of a year of hard work and constant training.

4-H prides itself on teaching the next generation about farming and ranching, and dog care is a big part of that. The 4-H Board President said the judging is tough and winning is harder than it looks.

4-H holds annual dog shows. In addition to prize ribbons and bragging rights, the grand champion winner receives a giant buckle.
