East Harlem Fire: Fire Destroys Four-Story Building

EAST HARLEM, Manhattan (WABC) — A fire destroyed a four-story apartment building in East Harlem.

Flames broke out on the top floor of the apartment building on East 109th Street around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

It appears that the building was empty.

Within a few hours the fire was under control.

It is not clear how the fire started.
