Baby killed, women injured after being hit by car in Philadelphia – NBC10 Philadelphia

A baby has died in a crash that injured two women Saturday night, a Philadelphia police spokesman said.

The two women were crossing the street with the baby at the corner of North Front Street and East Wyoming Avenue in Feltonville, a North Philadelphia neighborhood, just before 9 p.m. when the crash happened, police said.

Police said the women were walking west on Wyoming Avenue at the time of the crash, while the car was traveling north on Front Street.

The baby, a one-year-old girl, was taken by medical personnel to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead around 9:30 p.m., officials said.

A woman described by police as a young adult and a 31-year-old woman were taken by medics to a separate nearby hospital, officials said. The women were listed in stable condition.

The police are investigating the accident.
