UFC Vegas 94 Purse and Payouts: Reports Reveal Virna Jandiroba’s Earnings After Victory Over Amanda Lemos

Virna Jandiroba, 36, pulled off a huge upset at the Apex Facility in Enterprise, Nevada on Saturday by submitting the #3 ranked strawweight, Amanda Lemos. Her stunning victory over her compatriot means a big paycheck for the former Invicta FC champion. According to reports from Marca.com, the Brazilian is expected to take home at least $60,000.

While there is limited data on the fighter’s previous earnings, her first main event is expected to be a ringing in her glory, as she has never earned more than $45,000 in guaranteed salary. The win not only opens the door for a title shot, but also increases her payday now that she’s delivered on the big stage.

As for Lemos, she’ll be limping home with the $100,000 check, along with a bruised arm from Jandiroba’s submission. And that’s without even mentioning White’s $50,000 bonus the Brazilian pocketed for her R2 stoppage of Lemos.

With the victory, Virna extended her winning streak to four in a row, while Lemos, who bounced back from a loss to McKenzie Dern against Zhang Weili, will have to find her winning rhythm in the next round.

Meanwhile, the upcoming UFC event in Abu Dhabi has been stalled after the long-awaited return of Nick Diaz was cancelled.

UFC Abu Dhabi: Nick Diaz vs Vicente Luque Postponed

Fighting fans have been dying to see the great Nick Diaz back in action, but it looks like they’ll have to wait a little longer to see ‘Diablo’ in the cage.

When Dana White and co. announced the UFC’s plans for the UAE, Nick Diaz vs. Vicente Luque was the fight everyone was anticipating after the promotion confirmed its plans for the 40-year-old veteran.

The bout has been postponed from the UFC’s upcoming bout in Abu Dhabi after the promotion announced the update during Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 60 broadcast, citing “travel concerns” for Diaz and Luque.

Additionally, UFC commentator Brendan Fitzgerald indicated that the organization has not completely dropped the fight, but that there are plans to move the fight to later in the summer. However, he did not specify an exact date.

Although the welterweight bout was scheduled as a co-main event, the promotion has acquired Shara Magomedov (13-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Michael Oleksiejczuk (19-8 MMA, 7-6 UFC) as replacements and booked the duo for a clash.
