Tim Alberta just said something that should send Democrats into a complete panic

As if the Democratic Party’s civil war over Joe Biden’s candidacy wasn’t bad enough for the party, things are getting worse in the states where Biden needs to win to be re-elected. There is not a single state where Biden is leading. Some He has kept it within the margin of error, but that will likely change after an excellent Congress that followed an assassination attempt on the former president.

Biden, already with a terrible approval rating, contracted COVID again and canceled his campaign trip to Nevada. As he recovers in isolation, Democrats are rushing to declare that they hope he will step aside. Democratic enthusiasm has plummeted, so field work can’t be successfully conducted in these crucial states because no one wants to make phone calls, ring doorbells, or help send mail. Tim Alberta shared this horror story on MSNBC on July 18, the close of the Republican convention (via Fox News):

“I have never seen such enthusiasm as in the summer of this election year,” he said.

“I’ve heard horror stories from people on the ground in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, of being stopped time and time again from doing their jobs because local Democratic Party chapters and counties have been trying to get people to come in and make phone calls, deliver mail, knock on doors. They can’t do it. They can’t find people,” the reporter added.

If Biden were suddenly replaced by another candidate, Alberta said it would create a “jolt of immediate energy,” enthusiasm and donor money that would change the race for both parties.

“If Biden were to leave office and the Democrats had a new standard-bearer at the top of the constituency, you would expect that they would also see a huge, historic increase in fundraising. That’s one of the many reasons why so many elected officials are pushing for the president to leave office right now,” he continued.

This is all good for Trump and the Republicans, but we still have weeks until Election Day. Keep campaigning like we’re down five points and don’t get complacent.

Keep fighting and win this.
