South Washington Street in Belchertown Reopens After Car Accident

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WWLP) – Belchertown police and firefighters were dispatched to a traffic accident on South Washington Street Saturday.

According to the Wilbraham Regional Emergency Communications Center, there was a serious motor vehicle accident on South Washington Street that closed the street for several hours. Drivers were advised to avoid the area, but the road has since reopened.

There is no word yet on injuries or the cause of the crash. 22News will update this story as more information becomes available.
