Charges pending in Pembina County fatal motorcycle crash | The Mighty 790 KFGO

PEMBINA COUNTY, ND (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported a fatal motorcycle crash at 11 p.m. Friday night involving a motorcycle traveling northbound on County Road 4, about 1⁄4 mile south of County Road 1, when a deer ran out of the ditch and onto the road.

The driver struck the deer, causing the passenger, a 43-year-old woman from Hamilton, ND, to be thrown from the motorcycle. The driver, a 43-year-old man from Cavalier, went into the east ditch and became trapped under the motorcycle when it was last stopped. The driver sustained serious life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier. The passenger died at the scene from her injuries.

The names of the people involved will be announced later.

The charges pending include Driving Under Revocation and Driving Without Liability Insurance. Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing a helmet.
