Utah State Football cornerback Andre Seldon Jr. found dead in reservoir after ‘cliff diving accident’ at just 22 years old

UTAH State cornerback Andre Seldon Jr. was found dead Saturday night in a local reservoir in what is believed to be a “cliff diving accident.”

According to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office in Utah, they were called to the scene of the accident around 2:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a possible drowning.

The reports came after police received reports of a possible drowning death, in which a young man had dived from the cliffs and never resurfaced.

Seldon’s body was recovered around 9:05 p.m. by the Utah Department of Public Safety dive team.

Authorities are currently describing his death as a “tragic accident.”
