Secaucus Police Blotter, July 8 – July 14

A 28-year-old Secaucus woman was arrested on July 8 and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle.



SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all arrests for that time period:

On July 8th at 11:29 am, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34 year old male, Jose Canela-Perez of Secaucus, NJ, for presenting a false insurance card (2C:21-2.3B). Mr. Canela-Perez was served with his citation and 4 motor vehicle summonses and released from police custody.

On July 8 at 12:08 p.m., Secaucus Police located a stolen motor vehicle in the area of ​​County Avenue and Riverside Station Boulevard. During the investigation, police arrested a 26-year-old woman, Abigail Rivera of Secaucus, NJ, for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle (2C:20-10.2A). Ms. Rivera was served with her citation and released from police custody.

On July 9 at 12:04 p.m., in support of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in connection with a stolen motor vehicle and eluding incident that occurred on July 1, police responded to the 1600 block of Paterson Plank Road and arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male from Secaucus, NJ. The juvenile male was issued juvenile summonses for receiving a stolen motor vehicle (2C:20-10.2a), resisting arrest (2C:29-2a(2)), and obstructing justice (2C:29-1a) and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On July 10th at 3:11 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 51 year old male, Juan Rodriguez of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (39:4-50). Mr. Rodriguez was also charged with Possession of CDS suspected to be Cocaine (2C:35-10A(1)), Failure to Turn Over CDS suspected to be Cocaine to Police (2C:35-10C), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2C:24-4A(2)). Mr. Rodriguez was served with his citation along with 7 motor vehicle summonses and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

On July 10th at 10:37 am, in support of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in connection with a bicycle theft that occurred on July 6th at 60 Metro Way, police arrested a 32 year old male, Jerome Davis of Orange, NJ for Theft (2C:20-3A). Mr. Davis was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters. He was served with his citation and released from police custody.

On July 11 at 2:19 p.m., in support of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, in connection with a robbery that occurred at 12:23 p.m. on May 31 at 15 Meadowlands Parkway, a 30-year-old man, Phillip Watford of Jersey City, NJ, was arrested. Mr. Watford was charged with Robbery (2C:15-1A(1)), Conspiracy (2C:5-2A(1)), and was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ without bail. Mr. Watford was subsequently processed and transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On July 12th at 1:46 p.m., while investigating a complaint of shoplifting at the local Walmart, Secaucus Police arrested 24-year-old Sebastian Iniguez of North Bergen, NJ on two outstanding warrants (one out of Hoboken with a $5,000 bond and the other out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, with no bond). He was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, who assumed custody of Mr. Iniguez.
