American sub chain Jersey Mike’s opens first location in downtown Toronto

Popular American sandwich chain Jersey Mike’s will soon open its first location in Toronto.

After it was announced earlier this summer that the iconic New Jersey sandwich chain would open its first GTA location in Markham, Toronto sandwich lovers have been eager to know when and where a location would open in the city.

The wait is almost over, because the location for Toronto’s first Jersey Mike’s has been officially confirmed: right in the city center.

Jersey Mike’s, Toronto’s very first location, is opening soon in Union Station.

While no official opening date has been confirmed for the restaurant, Union has signs up saying the sandwich shop will be opening soon, so the wait won’t be long.

This is the fourth location in Canada for the chain, which currently has locations in London and Kitchener, in addition to the soon-to-open restaurant in Markham.

The expansion doesn’t stop at the Union Station location: the chain has plans to open more than 300 locations across Canada in the coming years as part of a partnership with Canadian restaurant chain Redberry.
