MSU scheduled to play the five other teams picked in the league’s preseason top six




SPOKANE, Wash. – Big Sky Conference coaches and media members both picked Montana State to finish second in the league’s football race in 2024, the Big Sky announced Sunday.

Both groups see the Bobcats finishing a notch behind UM, which earned the nod from 10 of the league’s 12 coaches and 26 of the 38 media members. Both groups see Idaho finishing third (the Vandals received two media first place votes), UC Davis fourth (the Aggies earned one coach and one media vote to win the league), and Sacramento State.

After that, the coaches chose: Weber State sixth, NAU seventh, Eastern Washington eighth, Portland State ninth, Idaho State 10th, Northern Colorado 11th, and Cal Poly 12th. The media picked Eastern Washington sixth, Weber State seventh, Idaho State eighth, NAU ninth, Portland State 10th, Cal Poly 11th, and Northern Colorado 12th.

The Bobcats play the five other schools picked in the top six of the media poll, and the fourth others picked in the top five of the coaches poll.
