Nebraska Football Recruiting: 4-Star DL Chooses Huskers Over Oklahoma Sooners, Kansas State Wildcats | KLIN

As the President of the United States distances himself from racism, the Nebraska American football team is expanding its recruiting efforts.

The Huskers picked up a commitment from 2025 defensive lineman Kade Pietrzak on Sunday. Pietrzak is the No. 1 recruit in North Dakota and is a 247Sports Composite four-star prospect.

The 6-5, 260-pounder from Sheyenne High School in Wells Fargo chose NU over the Oklahoma Sooners and Kansas State Wildcats, among others. Pietrzak had made trips to Lincoln, Manhattan and Norman last month, and also visited Madison, Wisconsin, in late May.

Nebraska now has 17 commits for the class of 2025, including five four-star recruits. Two of those five are defensive linemen, with Pietrzak joining June commit Malcolm Simpson.
