Repairs to FM 1097 underway after washout, Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough says

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KIAH) — Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough announced on social media that repair work has begun on FM 1097 near Adkins Creek after it was damaged by erosion. He posted photos of a bulldozer at the scene and explained that he and Pct. 1 Commissioner Walker have been in contact with the TXDOT area engineer throughout the day.

TXDOT has prioritized the repair and has begun reinforcing the washed-out area to prevent further erosion. Crews are currently gathering the necessary materials for the repair and will provide a timeline for reopening once the materials are secured.

Judge Keough stressed that repairing and reopening the road is a top priority for the county. He remains in close contact with TXDOT officials to ensure that repairs are completed as quickly and safely as possible.
