Gloucester County Fair showcases old-world rural charm


MULLICA HILL, NJ — The Gloucester County 4-H Fair will be held July 25-28 at the Gloucester County 4-H Fairgrounds, located at 275 Bridgeton Pike (Route 77). This annual event features the charm of an “old-timey country fair” with animal shows, BBQ dinners and various vendors.

Family-friendly activities include a baby parade, baby crawl race, mullet contest, skillet toss and tire toss. The fair also features live entertainment, agricultural exhibits and showcases of 4-H children’s achievements. Event highlights include live band performances, a meet and greet with miniature horses, horse pulling competitions and dog obedience demonstrations.

  • LSC After Dark to Host Beer Olympics in Jersey City

    JERSEY CITY, NJ — Liberty Science Center will host the LSC After Dark: Beer Olympics event on July 25 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The event will celebrate the start of the Summer Olympics with a party featuring beer, cocktails, and various games throughout the building.

    Visitors can challenge friends to games, explore new exhibits and enjoy the lively atmosphere. The event will be held at 222 Jersey City Boulevard.

    Admission is $25, with a $3 discount for tickets purchased online.

  • St. Ann’s Festival Celebrates Italian Heritage in Hoboken

    HOBOKEN, NJ — The annual St. Ann’s Festival takes place July 24-28 in the streets surrounding St. Ann Church, located at 704 Jefferson Street. The festival features Italian food, including the famous St. Ann’s zeppole, as well as music, rides, crafts, a beer garden, raffles and games.

    Entertainment is provided each evening on two stages, with a variety of performances for the audience. A major highlight of the festival is the Feast Day Mass on July 26, followed by a procession through the streets carrying a 600-pound statue of St. Ann.

    The festival is free to attend and promises to be a lively celebration of Italian culture and community spirit.
